  One
of the
highlights of
any trip to the
North is the
opportunity to
see some wild
animals in a
natural setting.
In recent
years many
Red Pine guests
have followed
staff members to
a bear feeding
area along the
shoreline of
Lady Evelyn
Lake. Every
morning the fish
carcasses from
the previous
day's catch and
some left-over
food items from
the dining hall
are dropped in a
large barrel.
Guests can
safely view the
Black Bears from
their boats.
Turkey Vultures,
Ravens and one
or two of the
Bald Eagles on
the lake are
often seen. Last
year (2007)
there were as
many as six
regular visiting
bears at this
sight!
And
we have
birds,

Walking
Wounded

Wary
Wading
and
Wacky

We
have Butterflies
on the
backhouse, and
Lynx on the
lake...
........................................................................................................................................

Red
Squirrels doing
what Red
Squirrels do...
The
elusive Ceramic
Garden Toad has
been spotted
recently...

This
young Moose
should be a good
size this
year...
